Our last month in Mexico was incredibly transport heavy, and as this is one of the more expensive countries in northern Latin America to get around, we were worried it was going to send us way over budget. Miraculously, it didn't.
Despite travelling phenomenal distances, indulging in lots of meals out, relaxing on beautiful beaches drinking perhaps a little too much beer (it's the only thing that really quenches your thirst anyway!) and staying in some wonderful hostels, we were £75 under budget - that's two and half free days later down the line!
